The SMSA is not affiliated to any other UK Men’s Sheds Associations and works exclusively in Scotland as a registered Scottish charity, ‘In Scotland – For Scotland’.

REOPENING GUIDANCE FOR SCOTTISH MEN’S SHEDS (RELEASED MARCH 2021)
On the 26th April 2021, Scotland returned to the levels system. Men’s Sheds will be able to re-open their doors—in line with SMSA’s ‘Reopening Guidance for Men’s Sheds in Scotland’—if they choose to do so.
Following extensive consultations, SMSA has now released the revised version of the guidance for Men’s Sheds in Scotland.

We are here as your association to promote you, get like minded people in your area to be able to find you and get you all connected! Without you we don’t have a thriving grass roots driven Scottish Men’s Sheds Movement.
We are here to help educate people and organisations to the major benefits of supporting the creation of Men’s Sheds by our local communities throughout Scotland. We will educate through all our communication channels – website, social media, conferences and presentations and more.
We are here to inform you about the latest funding opportunities, news that will inspire you to achieve your dream, keep you up to date with changing Scottish laws that might effect your Shed and inform you of opportunities to make an impact on local councils and Scottish government policies.
We are here to inspire you to enjoy a happier and healthy life by joining us in the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association and the Scottish Men’s Sheds Movement. Our website is packed full of useful information and will be constantly growing.
We are here to assist you with any questions or challenges you will face along the journey of creating or participating in your Men’s Shed. We know because we have mostly already faced them in creating our own local Sheds all across Scotland.
