Warburtons Community Grants provides small grants to support charitable organisations towards broader activities which improve Health, Place or Skills for families in their community.

Grants can be used for something specific that will benefit the cause e.g. buying equipment to support an employability project etc.

Funds are allocated to Warburtons local bakeries and depots. This helps their Community Champions to make the best decisions for their local communities. Warburtons will use your postcode to understand which of their sites is closest to you, and that site will then receive the application and make a decision.

Volunteering Matters Action Earth - offer grants to help urban communities to respond to our nature and climate crises. Any group of volunteers in urban areas are able to apply for Volunteering Matters Action Earth nature grants up to £250 to run environmental activities in
green spaces in built-up areas and centres of population. Applications should make major environmental impacts and/or involve mass participation. Applications prioritised from volunteer groups that do any of the following:

• Work in areas where there is substantial social or economic deprivation
• Improve and develop the health and wellbeing of their local community
• Involve disabled people, vulnerable people or those at risk of exclusion
• Encourage and involve people under 26 in practical outdoor conservation

Projects must be completed by 28 February 2027

Axminster Tools – Skills Development ProgrammeRolling / apply anytime

This initiative is aimed at people at the beginning of a career in woodworking or those who wish to develop a specialist skill to support their existing career. SMSA partner Axminster Tools' programme recognises new woodworking talent and rewards them with the opportunity to learn.

Every six months, Axminster will choose one budding woodworker to spend the day with their experts. Successful Sheds are encouraged to advise the SMSA in order to promote this opportunity to other Sheds.

The W. G Edwards Charitable Foundation is an independent grant-making charity which assists with the provision of care for the over-65s. The Foundation makes small grants to improve the health and wellbeing of people over the age of 65 in the UK. This could be assistance towards a capital project such as refurbishment, furniture or equipment; or towards an innovative project such as fitness classes, lunch clubs, gardening projects, etc. The Foundation only supports items or projects where at least 90% of the beneficiaries are over the age of 65.

Around 100 organisations each year are successful in obtaining grants usually between £1,000 to £1,500.

The Trust's aim is to champion mental wellbeing for all. They provide grants to UK registered charities whose work supports those with mental health issues and provides support and activities which tackle, in particular but not exclusively, suicide, online bullying and grief, fostering hope and resilience, working both in the UK and beyond.

All successful applicants from the 2025/6 grant round have now been informed.
