Funding for registered UK Charities in the fields of the advancement of the arts, health and medical welfare and environmental protection or improvement. Core cost or project funding considered. An example grant is setting up a therapeutic gardening project.

The deadline for applications for small charity grants (charities with an annual income of £5m and under) is 1st June 2026. The deadline for first-stage applications for large charity grants (charities with an annual income of above £5m) is 8th May 2026. Second-stage applications for Large Charities will be 1st June 2026.

The next grants will be decided in mid-July 2026. Applicants will be informed by the end of August.

FCC Community Action FundThe Board makes funding decisions quarterly

The FCC Community Action Fund provides grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 to not-for-profit organisations for amenity projects eligible under Object D and Object DA of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).

Only applications for projects sited within 10 miles of an eligible FCC Environment waste facility can be accepted.

2026-3 Round - opens 3 June 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 19 August 2026
2026-4 Round - opens 2 September 2026 and closes at 5.00pm on 18 November 2026

The Gamma Trust funds a wide range of charitable purposes including the advancement of health, the arts, heritage, culture or science, the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

Beneficiaries funded include: * People affected by drugs and alcohol * Economically/socially disadvantaged * Mental health conditions * Offenders and ex-offenders * Older people * Ill-health * Disabilities * Refugees and asylum seekers * Religious and Belief Groups.

Just Enterprise is a Scottish Government-funded programme for the Third Sector in Scotland. It provides fully-funded support to social enterprises and enterprising charities in Scotland.

Their expert network of advisers provide the support, training and information you need to start up, develop, grow and lead your social enterprise. What’s more, the majority of their services are entirely free.

The Just Enterprise programme is delivered by a consortium of Third Sector partners.

The Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) supports communities to engage with, participate in and benefit from the energy transition to net zero emissions. CARES is managed by Local Energy Scotland and offers a range of financial support to community energy projects.

CARES provides a package of support, and we make it as easy as possible for you to deliver your project. Current support and funds are:

• Community Energy Launchpad – if you are new to community energy and not sure where to start, what to do or are struggling to work out if you are eligible this is where to start.
• Community Buildings Fund – grants for communities that want to install renewable systems in community buildings such as faith buildings, village halls and community centres.
• Community Energy Generation Growth Fund – grants and loans for communities that want to own and operate renewable energy technologies.
