The Fore offers development funding and strategic support to early-stage charities and social enterprises. It makes unrestricted grants which have the potential to have a transformational impact on an organisation. For example enabling your organisation to take a step forward in its development or giving you the chance to do something you couldn’t before. It will also match successful applicants with friendly professional support including ongoing mentoring, strategic advice, governance support or other assistance.

• Environmental/Green Infrastructure

The fund supports community and environmental improvement projects through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. Applications for capital projects, i.e. those that focus on physical improvement at an identified site, will be considered. Projects must be located within 10 miles of a Landfill Site – check the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) website, projects in multiple sites cannot be considered. The maximum grant amount is £25,000 in Scotland and charities/CICs are eligible. Fund

The NHS has several charity grant programmes for community groups, often run by different bodies like NHS Charities Together. These grants support projects that improve community health and wellbeing, often focusing on specific areas like community mental health, and access to nature.

The programme helps third-sector organisations in Scotland build skills, resilience, and sustainability. Provides tailored support and learning opportunities.

Support could be used to develop marketing plans, explore other funding options, consider new trading ideas, plan financially and work on budgets, improve branding, create or refine a business plan, strengthen your Board, review your legal structure, and identify digital solutions.

The Radcliffe Trust supports the development of the skills, knowledge and experience that underpin the UK’s traditional cultural heritage and crafts sectors. This includes support for:

craft and conservation training
practical projects, particularly those that include a strong training element
strategic and capacity-building projects which demonstrate clear benefits to the sector
Special Needs projects whose emphasis is on skills development.

However, the Trust remains committed to flexible, open and inclusive grant-giving and will consider other projects, should they fall broadly within its remit.
