Grants are available for grassroots groups to create, improve or repair local community spaces where people can socialise and reduce loneliness, and boost wellbeing. Improved accessibility to the community space is also funded.

A range of project costs are supported.
Examples of eligible projects include (but not limited to):
• Kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
• Creation of a new permanent space.
• Roof and floor repairs.
• Building extensions.
• Disabled access ramps to a community building Upgrades and replacements to windows and doors.
• Boilers and heating.
• Essential building security upgrades.
• Transformation of a disused space into a functional space.
• Removable items (e.g. soft furnishings, tables and chairs, white goods and electrical items, garden machinery) provided they only make up a small portion of a wider application to repair, renovate, or develop a community space.

Grants from £10,000 to £20,000 are available.

The Asda Foundation must contribute at least 50% of the total project cost (up to £20,000) and can fund up to 90% of the total project cost.

Applicants must already have 10% of the total project cost (demonstrated in submitted accounts).

A new fund to enhance access to vital services and support for disabled people focusing on three priorities: accessible financial advice and support; inclusive participation in communities and everyday life; and better mental health and wellbeing.

Provides funding to support projects embedded in local communities, addressing broad social and community needs. Open to constituted organisations and charities.

The Trust assists organisations with the decrease in charitable donations for specific projects by businesses and individuals due to the economic climate faced at the time. The Trust granted £4,500 to Forfar & District Men’s Shed to replace their existing old and heavy sliding door to the workshop with a new motorised insulated roll up one.

• Health & Wellbeing

The Gamma Trust funds a wide range of charitable purposes including the advancement of health, the arts, heritage, culture or science, the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.

Beneficiaries funded include: * People affected by drugs and alcohol * Economically/socially disadvantaged * Mental health conditions * Offenders and ex-offenders * Older people * Ill-health * Disabilities * Refugees and asylum seekers * Religious and Belief Groups.
